Ways to Participate
With MOM Projects
Introduction
Teachers who have a history
of good relationships with their students want to give back to
the profession. The memory of students who were eager to learn
is a legacy that nourishes lifelong good feelings. Students who
were appreciative for having been taught lingers and sustains
the teacher. This legacy beckons teachers to give something back
to students of the future. The MOM web site concept provides
this opportunity. Here is how:
may print out and use MOM web
site pages as hand outs which serve as inservice discussion instruments
with teachers, counselors, administrators and PTA organizations.
may serve as a spokesperson for
the Special Strengths concept, contact professionals in other
areas and invite them to participate.
may write articles on MOM web
site subjects and send them for publication in newspapers, newsletters
and bulletins.
may embrace the Special Strengths
concept and become a volunteer or paid consultant to speak at
education events.
may write a book giving your personal
experiences related to the need to teach the Special Strengths
concept.
may choose other ways to participate
as you have insight and feel the need to contribute from you
individual perspective.
Sincerely,
Carroll D. Killingsworth
